I’ve been DJ’ing for a year and a half, and I’ve played over 20 gigs… but i have yet to record a demo. I recently moved to a new city, and if I want to play out at all here, I need a demo! It’s just… once that little red light is flashing… it’s almost like fluidity ceases to exist, and all that’s left is me being nervous and messing up!

I know exactly how you feel. I don’t get the same kind of nerves I used to, but they’re still present. I can do something candidly all day but that little red light represents everyone in the world being right over your shoulder, and it’s discomforting. Just embrace it. Keep at it. I recommend a home studio for this very reason.
