Publish a novel (read all 2 entries…)
Progress...? 1 year ago

Started an opening paragraph of the new novel I’m beginning. Although I’m only 13, I’m hoping to continue and then eventually publish (thats a while away, but.)
Those kind enough to give me some feedback, view it here: http://arianejaccarini.blogspot.com/

It’s only, what? 432 words?
Anywho, hoping to write 50,000 by December 07.
Aiming to type some every night.
I’m only 13, but hoping to publish once completed.
Might it be relevant to add that I have not yet developed a plot? Seeing as I basically know my main character, Emérance, a complete figment of imagination, I’m hoping that her words and basically her story will just flow. So far, only just happening. I need you all to motivate me!

Any ideas for a plot, perhaps?

The plot is everything

The plot is the most important bit! If you don’t have something for the characters to do, they just stumble around and readers get bored. But there are easy ways to create a plot. Think about:
- what would your characters fight about?
- what would they die for?
- what do they want above all else?
- what obstacles are there in their lives?
- how would they overcome them?
- what makes them different to most people?
- what kind of adventure would bring that out?

and so on…

There are plenty of story ideas in the newspaper every day, too.
