My sister did a project many years ago in school where she created a family tree as far back as she could by asking relatives about her lineage.

My grandmother on my father’s side was a huge help in that project, as our family had kept pictures from generations in my family.

Ever since she created that project, I had wanted to trace my family as far back as I could, especially on my mother’s side.

I signed up for ancestry.com, and began researching. I have now been able to trace my father’s side of my family back to Ireland, and my mother’s side of my family back to Northern Ireland. I have started creating a family tree from the information I obtained on my blog on wordpress. I know that my mother’s side of the family is descended from many different countries, so it will be fun to see which ones once I am able to trace my other ancestors back that far. :)
