I went to a lesbian wedding in San Jose many years ago. It was in fact illegal now that I think about it. No, I guess the term was union back then.

Everybody had to wear rennaisance garb or leather. Mostly the straight guests wore (guess anybody) ..... and the non-straight guests wore (pretty obvious answer on this one) . .. .

Needless to say, it was one of the best weddings I have been to. At Hamburger Mary’s Dance Club. I was in renn garb and I danced with two modern dancer gals in leather bikinis. Not sure if bikinis is the right word. Neither is clothing. Let me just say that there attire was very alluring.

I believe the word to describe this event would be “festive”. A masterful harpist played during the ceremony and then six very good belly dancers danced everybody right into the fabulous reception.
