complete "The Artist's Way"

found a sewing machine for 7 bucks yesterday at a garage sale. perfect to review and hone my seamstress skills :)

I’m actually keeping up with Morning Pages. Only 10 days worth so fair (and I shirked my Artist Date; not for lack of trying but once i found the time I couldn’t think of a single place ot go) but it’s still progress

Borrowed the book from the library. What kind of experiences has everyone had with this?

Instead of thinking outside the box on this one. I had a couple of epiphanies on clothing de/reconstruction. Cant wait to hit the flea markets this weekend with my henchman (aka boyfriend) in search of test subjects (aka choppable t shirts, skirts, drapery, etc). MUHAHAHAHAHAHA (aka maniacal laughter).

It was originally “learn to paint”, but embracing any artistic endeavor would be beneficial at this point; painting, drawing, photography, stained glass, origami, jewelry, pottery, underwater basket weaving, creating on any level.

I wish i were artistic. My boyfriend is a painter, my best friend is artistically inclined, i want a talent too. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not cuz I want to be cool like everyone else, I just love the concept of creating. I feel like I’ve got it somewhere in me, but I have no idea how to get to it, and it sucks cuz there’s no one that can point the way or give me a map. There’s a huge wall blocking everything up, I can’t make any art come out from inside. I don’t need the whole wall to come down in one shot, I’d just like a way to knock some holes in it.

gah. stupid freezing rain = not driving to the studio today = no painting for me :(

i dunno that i’ll ever paint masterpieces, Im not sure I have the talent in me to to make anything recognizable on canvas, but I think just trying this will scratch a creative itch I have. Today after work I”m going to go to a ceramics studio and paint a sugar bowl for my mom for christmas, and a coffee cup for my brother. Hopefull they get fired in time
