have suddenly been given a reason to work on ruby, due to a prospective project. Am back to reading and writing ruby code again. Thanks to Aral for helping me to link up my Terminal to Locomotive!

would anyone know where there are learning teams for ruby? places where we can study the same material and share our experiences and ask questions? preferrable someplace with at least a few experienced users?
One last thing, from those who have done both, would you suggest starting with rails or ruby for someone with some programming experience?
Thanks!
need to concentrate on AIM work for the next month or so. Ruby will have to take a backseat for now. I hope to find a good hands on tutorial where i can play with code. Hopefully will begin in a month
just got the 2nd edition of the Pragmatic programmers book on ruby. I’ve only gone through a few pages and it looks like a good read for me. Will make a habit of going through this book everynight at least on the weekdays. Need to find some time to actually sit down and write code ha ha. good thing ruby 1.8 already installed on OS X Tiger. have tested irb already using why’s web guide. will do more of it now. got TextWrangler as an editor. need to find out if Eclipse is a better fit.
