Learn French

I’ve passed my Beginners course and got a very respectable mark, much better than I’d expected! My trip to Paris was also encouraging and my attempts to speak french were understood. I’m now thinking of signing up for the next level so I’m not signing this aim off yet.

the listening exam is over and it’s just waiting until the beginning of June for the results. After that I’ll think about what I do next, whether I carry on with French. In the meantime I can try out my oral skills when I go to Paris in two weeks.

the written paper. Grammar section wasn’t too bad and I think I did okay with that but the composition didn’t go well. Listening paper in three days.

will be my last French class. The course has gone so quickly and I feel really proud of the progress I’ve made. Revision is going well and in two weeks time the exams will be over!

We did a listening test in class recently, I thought I’d done badly but got 52% (a pass is 40%) so I was very encouraged. Need to start revising NOW as it’s only a month to my exams, a written paper and a listening exercise.

has started. I swing between feeling really positive and really hopeless. But I’ve realised that I’ve already acheived the aim I set out with, to learn enough French to manage some basic communication. This makes me feel better.

Still struggling, especially with listening exercises but I’m determined to do some practice over the holiday. Have enjoyed the term and definitely feel I’ve learnt a lot.

The new class is running and with 17 people attending is likely to continue running! First class went well, I’ve bought my text book today, now I can do my homework for next week.

I have enrolled on another French beginners class to start next week – fingers crossed that this one runs.It’s a more intense course than the one I originally tried to join and there are exams at the end of the year! However, I’m determined to achieve this goal, so I’ll just have to work hard and do my best. The aim is to sign off this goal on July 3rd 2008 when the exam results are published and hopefully I’ve passed!

Arrived for my first french class and found the course has been cancelled from lack of interest! Have found another course beginning in two weeks time, hopefully this one will be more successful.
