spend more time outdoors

Today me and my uncle went to Palouse Falls and hiked around for a couple of hours. That place is beautiful. The canyon reminded me of New Mexico or Arizona, but with a heck of a lot more water. I’m going to take these last two days as a sine that 2006 will be the year I will bet back out into nature.

Yesterday I went with my aunt and uncle up into the Blue Mountains. It was kind of a new thing when at a certain elevation the rain just turned into snow. I didn’t get to play much around in the snow because my cousins were getting restless. I think it was a good way to start the new year none the less.

It’s been over 2 years since I have been camping, and I can’t remember the last time I took a hike. I can feel my soul yearning for the beautiful and spiritual felling out being in nature. I have to get out there even if it’s for a day or afternoon.
