I know I’m horrible!! I started a new book last night but will hopefully be done today or tomorrow. I started reading Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse. It’s a very short book. Today I’m off to the library to see what they have in philosophical reads because I want to isolate myself for a week and just read a bunch of essays/texts on philosophy and get myself better acquainted with the subject. I will update when I get back :D

Well, I’ve started reading more books, but so far my problem is finishing them!! I’ve got so many books that I’ve started but I just lose interest just over half way in. I need to find a way to keep that momentum going straight through till the end!

My cousin gave me one of the ‘self-help’ books and I finished reading it the other day. it’s called ‘the four agreements’ by don miguel. It was pretty good and I really liked it. I had been spending lots of time knitting/quilting so reading that book got me back into reading before bed and now I’m back into Steppenwolf by Hermann Hesse and I’m passed the midway point now. I must say the first little bit of the book was terribly difficult to understand but now it’s going along quite smoothly and I will hopefully be done within the next couple days so that I can start on a new book :D
I thought this book would be a breeze to read since it doesn’t seem very long, but I was horribly mislead. I’m finding this book very difficult to understand. It was written in the 1920s in German and the language makes it a little difficult to understand. As in the word order is confusing and so is the grammar. I just read a sentence that had 5 commas! (And there wasn’t a list of things, as in oranges, apples, bananas, ... ,). Also the ideas expressed in it take time to digest and seeing as how the language is hard to disipher, the book and it’s ideas become difficult as well. But I am managing to read 3-5 pages per sitting. Not alot of progress in my opinion, however, I shall persever! :D
