earn a Triple Crown in Toastmasters this year

Since I wimped out on giving a speech on Wednesday I’ve lost an opportunity to speak, so this will now be more difficult to achieve.

If all my future speeches are going to be the as stressful as the last one, achieving this will be hell.

I am changing the wording of this goal from “obtain a Competent Communicator before December” to “earn a Triple Crown.” This new goal includes the previous one.

To get a Triple Crown award, one needs to achieve three things in a year. I aim to do become a Competent Communicator, Competent Leader and Advanced Communicator Bronze. That should be before the end of June next year.

I’m having a little problem with Project 6 in the Competent Communicator manual. I have now three times postponed the talk after my name had been put on the programme.

Fortunately I have been given a nice fresh challenge, so I now think I can do it.

I have two weeks to prepare.

I’ve changed my goal wording to something more positive and SMART.

I forgot. One cannot “think up” an idea, one can only prepare for it, and let it come.

I had a speech, but one with no beginning. This week’s meeting gave me an idea for a very suitable beginning.

I seem to have a problem thinking of speech topics. I get one topic in my head, and then it will not go out and be replaced by a better one.
