Always be a good mom

My daughter did not want to go to bed early last night. She said I made her angry and I said GOOD! Just flying off the handle. She was whiny, fake coughing and all of a sudden had a belly ache(ate too much sweets I think). I held her for a little while, but I was just feeling sad, I hate when we fight. I know what’s best right! I just need to be consistent and pick the right battles. My therapist said that if we are good parents 40% of the time, our kids will turn out just fine. Well I like to aim high.

This is a really frustrating project that I’m “helping” my 7yr old with. She needs to make a model of an Indian Longhouse by tomorrow. The bark isn’t staying on very well. I’m taking a break for an hour to see if the wood glue will stick. If not, we may have to start from scratch.

Really looking forward to this one. It’s too bad that my peak season at work is coming up and I won’t be able to help out the troop as much as I want to. I hope the girls enjoy scouts as much as I did.

at daughters’ school was fun. I helped put on those cute, fake, little tattoos. I made sure to say something to each child I put a tattoo on. My daughters helped me and that felt good for us to give back and not just show up.

Went to the World’s Largest Halloween Party at the Louisville Zoo last night. My girls seemed to be the only Dora and Pink Mystic Force Power Ranger Girls there. On the other hand, it wasn’t very crowded. There were a lot of princesses, witches, and various animals there. It only took about 45 minutes to to the whole tour. They put most of the animals away so they won’t be spooked. I’m glad we renewed the membership,the girls love biology and it’s good exercise.

I better go to sleep, if I can overcome husband’s snoring. We have a field trip at the zoo in a few hours.

They are good at riding their bikes now after about 100 tries and big doses of patience. Some “you can do it’s, try again, it’s ok, and other any other encouraging lines I could come up with. After a few hours over a couple of days they seem to have it done. PROUD MOM, PROUD MOM!

We signed up for Girl Scouts, went to Open House at school, and stayed the two whole hours at the skating party.

Took my girls for a shopping excursion. While we couldn’t find any Patriots cheerleading costumes in the store, we did go down a few stores and found two really cute pairs of boots for them. My oldest wanted to sleep in hers tonight.

My goodness. My daughter Breanna, who’s 7 years old, has gotten like 5 phone calls in the last three hours from her best friend! She’s quite the talker!
