how exciting to go along the trail this week and find cute little ducklings learning how to hunt for food. Spring is in the air!

#14 my feet! 7 months ago

well, I’ve run into a couple instances in the past couple of days where people had lost their legs/feet for whatever reason. I love you feet!!!!

#13 having goals 1 year ago

I’ve been away from 43 things for a long time, kind of lazing about…still knowing in the back of my mind everything I want to accomplish, but not really focusing on it. But upon thinking about it, these goals are really what can inspire me, can change me. I have all these goal which I don’t necessarily expect to finish, but just think if I did! At this moment, having so many goals is inspiring, just because of all the potential I have.

#12 making good food 2 years ago

I’m always surprised when my meals turn out. It’s such a great reward for the effort. If only I did this more often…

#11 sunny days 2 years ago

I don’t think I appreciate them enough when they’re here. But once it gets all rainy, I wish for those days. The sun on your face, beautiful blue skies, being able to enjoy the fresh air…priceless :)

#10 finding willpower... 2 years ago

to do something I want to do, but have trouble doing just because I’m so damn lazy. Having control over my negative influences is such a motivation booster, I feel like I can do so many things.

#9 my mom's cooking 2 years ago

The one good thing about when I lived at home! Such an inspiration for me, even years after moving out! I guess this is why I am still on my quest to be a better cook. I can’t spend all my time dreaming about how good I could be eating. My favorites were the sweet and sour spaghetti sauce with meatballs. Tried to duplicate but to no avail! Pizza! I have never tasted any other pizza taste anywhere near as good. Liver and onions (w/ bacon). I’ve seen it on menus, but always been afraid that it will be a poor imitation. Turkey pie. Marie Callendar’s cannot compare with the perfect ratio of turkey to gravy to crust! Layered enchilada pie. Sure, it’s probably supposed to be for letovers, but what a great way to serve tortillas and cheese! Tuna casserole. How can something so simple be so good? Egg nog. Not the Christmas one, but some kind of smoothie alternative, before eating raw eggs was so horrible. Thinking of it now, it sounds like a gross idea, but it was incredibly delicious.

Well…there’s more…that’s just the highlights!

#8 netflix 3 years ago

being able to keep a list of all the movies I want to see (love those lists!) and not have to waste time walking around the video store wondering what movies I forgot I wanted to see…

#7 Taking a break from work 3 years ago

It’s like I go to work just to go to lunch with my coworkers. But not just the fun things…anything which will help me avoid working, it somehow makes that activity all the more enjoyable, including things like cleaning :p

#6 Watching my neices and nephews grow up 3 years ago

I was never around kids much when I grew up, but now that I have neices and nephews, it is so amazing to see and be a part of their transformation from helpless babies to defiant toddlers to reasoning and intelligent kids. Not to mention that they are so adorable. And as a side part, it is so fascinating to see their knowledge growing every day—when I compare it to any human attempt to reproduce this through artifical intelligence, it just blows it away.
