Took two Chinese domestic flights and survived (I’m serious!)

And now every weekend I’m lucky enough to be with lots of wonderful dogs and cats

I am alive today

I just went to hug the Free Hugs Man and I moonlighted for him and hugged people too! I would have stayed longer if my antiperspirant didn’t start failing me, d’oh!

I feel lucky because I’ve been wanting to hug him for a while but haven’t been able to find him and/or the time

Melbourne IS the fashion capital of Australia, especially now that I’ve gotten into touch with my favourite designer , who happens to be in Melbourne – what a coincidence, of course

The weather was beautiful on my birthday. I was on the beach watching paragliders, surfers and swimmers enjoying a nice summer’s day, surrounded by family. What more can one ask for?

A few years ago my nan was quite enthusiastic about learning to read and write and had asked me to help her. But, alas, my life was a bit of a mess at the time and I didn’t give her as much time as I should have.

Now that I am on holidays and have got most of my personal affairs under control I’ve started to teach her again, although she is a lot less keen these days due to her age, but I try to encourage her; it also helps with improving her memory.

I am so glad I still have the opportunity before it’s too late!!

8 of us, none of whom Korean, went to a Korean restaurant. Going through the menu and picking out something to eat was fun. At least I was closed to being as confused as almost everyone else for once.

Given the above the experience was varied – some really enjoyed their food, some were horrified. But I was greatly entertained, one way or the other. So thanks everybody!

My Secret Santa got me something that is really nice.. Now I have to think of something to give him.. (well he’s not so secret anymore because he wanted to boast about it)
