learn Spanish

So…I finished my 15 lessons with my private teacher and I think I made good progress with it. I must still remember to study the verbs and so on…because there are a lot of things to remember, if I don’t study them, I will forget them. I now have 18 chapters of the book left and when I finish I think I will consider this goal achieved…which will be very cool!

Learning Spanish is going really well! I finished 18 of 36 parts of the book and then started course of 15 times 140 minutes with a private teacher. She is good and the course cheap, so great. She taught me some more grammar, but most of all we practice the conversation. I prepare mostly by reading some articles from Spanish newspapers that she sends to me. I still have five more times to go, but I’m speaking really well! I’ve also been watching some Spanish movies and speaking with and writing some letters to Spanish speaking friends and I’m having good fun with it. I think the hardest part is to understand spoken Spanish.

I started lesson 17. Soon I will be half way through the book – it has 36 parts.

This weekend I’ve finished parts 13 and 14, that’s pretty good. I’m still considering the private teacher, but far I think it is going pretty well without it. It is great to have some Spanish speaking people to talk to on the msn, it is good practice, since one talks and practices the spelling at the same time and also have time to look up some words in the dictionary during the conversation.

Yesterday I completed two lessons and also made a vocabulary game to play. I also found a lot of Spanish songs I can listen to. I will do one more lesson this week.

Ok, so today I did lesson 10. I’m considering supplementing this with a private teacher, since I got a quite cheap offer. Wonder when I should consider this goal achieved…I must speak it fluently, but not so easy to say when that is achieved exactly. Well, early to think about that because I am far from it.

I started the 9th of August 2006 and have now done 8 parts out of the 36 in the book. Today I finished part 8. Its been a long time since the previous one. When I finish the book I will get a private teacher. Maybe one-two parts per week is realistic?
