Repeated the chest press, incline press and decline press last night – someone told me they thought this was a lot??
I’ve never done weight training before but I am not the slightest bit sore today. Is this alot? or normal? Wonder how much I should be shooting for?

Upped the weight!
Saturday
Started on Bench press –
10 reps @ 80#,
10 reps @ 90#,
10 reps @ 100#,
10 reps @ 110#,
10 reps @ 100#.
Then went to Incline Bench press –
10 reps @ 80#,
10 reps @ 90#,
10 reps @ 100#,
10 reps @ 110#,
10 reps @ 100#.
Then went to Decline Bench press –
10 reps @ 80#,
10 reps @ 90#,
10 reps @ 100#,
10 reps @ 110#,
10 reps @ 100#.
Sunday I got up and was able to do it again. I don’t even hurt! I think I may have to increase the weight

Bench press
I’ve been lazy – haven’t upped my weight in a while. Been taking it easy with 50#s. So I increased the weight in 5# increments each set last night. I was surprised that I was able to get up to 80#.
Going to start at 65# on Friday and increase 5# with each set on Friday see if I can get to 85#. If it goes well, I’ll start at 70# on Sunday and see if I an get to 90#. Re-evaluate after that – I’d like to get to 100# by end of month.

Muscles are cramping a little during aerobics. Think I need to back off on the calcium.
April 4 – Woke up late missed morning – evening hour and half weights, 50 min elliptical
April 3 – Dental Appt. Am 24 min elliptical. PM – 60 min elliptical

Friday – Morning 75 mins elliptical (no headache)

Saturday – Headache 6:00AM (hour) another at 8:00AM (hour)
Started elliptical at 9:45AM for 64 minutes – Another headache started at 10:30AM while working out, so I kicked up resistance by 1 to 7 and increased strides per minute from 100 to 110. HR up to 150. Headache faded. It’s 2:30PM now and headache has not come back – coward. Mess with the best – die like the rest.
Friday – Elliptical 64 minutes – no headache
Thursday – Migraine woke me at 2:30AM lasted 4 hours – bailed on exercise for the day – chalk one up for the headmaster – had another at 10:30AM – Lifted weights this evening though.
Long weekend this – going to try to do weights Thurs (tonight) 8PM, then again Saturday 8AM and the Sun at 8PM – see if I can get caught up. Then Tues, Thurs, Sat next week,
Will try to do cardio every morning and work in 20 mins of training on some of the machines – headaches permitting.

Saturday – Migraine all day – no workout
Sunday – Felt great – Mowed the grass and finished painting – no workout
Monday – Migraine all day – no workout
Tuesday – Decided to try to short out the migraine – went to the gym at 06:30AM and used elliptical for 72 minutes – no headache today.
Wednesday – At the gym by 6:30 – elliptical for 64 minutes – Honestly – I’ve been coasting – resistance set at 4 or 5 and strides per min about 85 – 90.
Today I set the resistance up to 8 and found myself at strides per min of 110 (I guess that could be because the hottie next to me was flying – LOL – I had to keep up.) heart rate was still in the aerobic zone. Finished up the last two minutes at stides of 115.
This worked out great – but I need to finish earlier –
try 06:00AM tomorrow.

Wednesday – an hour of weight training plus half hour of elliptical.
Thursday – Eighty minutes on elliptical.
Think it is about time to switch up. Plan to start with 10 minutes on the treadmill and 50 minutes on elliptical Saturday (tonight is weights + elliptical). Want to increase treadmill by 10 minutes every week and decrease elliptical until I am I doing a hour on treadmill. Then start switching days (aerobics every other day). Once I am to half hour on treadmill, going to add half hour jogging on weight training days.
