I doubt if anyone could understand this essay of mine. I'll be really grateful if you do^^ and tell me How i can improve. Thanks:>  — 2 years ago

( No, maybe. that looks like a verb. Not “result”. )

Please ^^^^will anyone check my essay for me?  — 2 years ago

Still, I’d be thankful for anyone to read and check it out. Upon your remarks, I feel encouraged and less scared of grammatical mistakes.
Another story, about my friend Jane looking for a house to live in. My vocabulary is tiny, so I have to use the same verb again and again. Sorry about that!

(I know she wants to go to graduate school, but didn’t get accepted this year. How to say this? I don’t know!)
por ultimo, el las afueras de la ciudad tiene una casa perfecta: es muy barato. Tiene dos dormitorios y una otra chica que quiere compartir la casa con ella trabaja en la igual fabrica! Jane puede ir a trabajar con ella. En la casa tiene una sala y una cocina tambien. Jane es muy encontada. Me dice que si quiero, puedo venir a pasar unas dias con ella.

Will anyone please check my essays?  — 2 years ago

I’m just a beginner in Spanish, and I feel pretty lonely. No teacher, no classmate, no environment, no radio, and merely a book and two tapes. I decided to break my psychologically fear to grammar and write something in the language. I have to show myself that i’m capable of using the language. Will anyone please check what I write?Just tell me where i’m wrong, and I’d be very very thankful!

(Not prima, I’m sure^ I meant to say I’m the only child in the family. The birth control policy is world-famous, right?)

a dream^^^^  — 2 years ago

Last night I had a very vivid dream. I was in a great maze made of plastic, and there were instructions written on the walls. the only thing is_-- they were not written in my mother tongue Chinese, or English, but something I guess was spanish. And I had no dictionary with me. I tried in vain to get out, but i just couldn’t. All of a sudden all walls surrounding me turned transparent and fragile, and I managed to break all walls and get out. Pretty rude, the dream is, yet how i wish i could read the instructions!

Another amazing thing is: in the daytime I was so preoccupied with grammar that i could barely write anything in spanish, but while i was asleep, I could create spanish instructions that seemed to make sense! that same thing happened years before when i was learning English. In one particularly long dream I became eloquent and quarreled with someone in English, and when i woke up, i could remember large paragraphs of my speech. They were grammatically correct and literately flawless. Perhaps sleeping is good for language learning? Oh, i think i need someone studying psychology to answer to!

Home again  — 2 years ago

Graduation could be exhausting^^^^ It has been two weeks since I last memorized a spanish word, but here i am at last. I’ve brought my tape and books with me, and I hope i can restart my lessons in Graduate School.
Battling forever against these tiny words le, lo, la, se
^^

Incidentally, one day I happened to see some advertisement in multiple languages, I can read chinese and english versions all right, and then it’s the spanish version. half went fine, but the other half i didn’t understand. However^ as my eyes wandered to those unknown languages, something looked remarkably like spanish, and I can also understand half of the ad! I was stunned. I quickly picked the sheet of paper up and went to my fellow classmate. together we figured out it might be Portugese. So learning spanish can enable anyone to read in Portugese, isn’t that fantastic?

Lesson 23.  — 2 years ago

So far it has been fine. I’ve covered lesson 23! afther this lesson i’m actually doing revisions: from Lesson 24 to lesson 9 of book 2, i learned in a class from a teacher! I hope it’s easier to pick things up.
there’s something I never seem to understand: the sinister little words le, la and lo. If the sentence is “llegar el taxi”, then “el taxi” might be replaced by “lo”, or I think it is. but why? why is it not “le”? Worse still, if these little words are combined with verbs like meterse, levantarse, asearse^^^ I have to decide where to put the “se” and “lo”! For instance,”meterse en la sala” , could it be replaced by “meterselo”, or “metersele”?
this problem has worried me for one and a half years and i still seem to be an idiot. Bad luck for me:<

another article^^^  — 2 years ago

Lesson 20. Una semana intensa. I have not yet finished reciting it, since in this lesson I have to finish the past tense. Why don’t all the verbs be “regular”? Or why don’t they be as simple as English verbs do? I remember once reading Dan Brown’s the Da Vinci Code, and it says English was regarded as the only pure language since it didn’t have such a near relationship to the ancient Roman language. Maybe there’s a point. I asked my classmate who learned French, and she said in French verbs are as tedious as they are in Spanish.

I tried to recite an article yesterday  — 2 years ago

Since I have got no teacher and no partner at this moment, the only thing i can do is to recite my texts. Yesterday I did lesson 19 “una dia atareado”. this book has 24 lessons, and if i am lucky, i think i can finish it by this month. However, there’s the past tense right in this lesson, and the verbs look really tediously long.
well, just type in some of the article that remains in my mind, so everyone can have a look at the standard textbook of Spanish in China:
Fue cualquier dia en Septiembre, pero para Elena fue un dia muy atereado. Se desperto a las siete en punto. Se levanto, se vistio y se aseo con toda rapidez. Entonces entro en la cocina para prepararse un sencillo desayuno. Despues de tomarlo de pie, toca un taxi para llegar cuanto antes de la oficina de persona.
Se entro en el edifici, se metro en el estacion hacia el decimo piso^^
well, just these, and I’m sure I got a lot of things wrong. This article was written in the past tense, but I’m not even sure I can write anything in that tense. As to what Elena did after that, if i write, that’ll be surely a laugh for everyone.

I have to try^^^  — 2 years ago

Currently I’m picking up what I learned one year and a half ago. there’re 24 lessons in Book One, and another 18 in Book Two. I’m trying to recite all the texts from the books. Now I have covered Lesson 18 of Book One. Of course, the following lessons are a lot more difficult, but^^ I’ll make sure not to give up too easy.
