learn to sew

I’ve made a few shirts into singlets, but I need material to make a few dresses.. Should be getting it soon.
I’m surprised how much I know already, I’ve only done like a year of textiles at school, and that was 3 years ago. My mum hardly had to teach me anything, I just did it.
Anyway, I look forward to making more of my own clothes.

Last night I was feeling a bit creative, so I went through my wardrobe and found some shirts that I don’t wear anymore. I cut off the sleeves and made it kinda look like a singlet. Looks pretty good :) With another shirt I had, I cut off the sleeves again and then cut the t shirt in half (so I only had the top half left) and I plan to make it into a cute little dress.
I think they turned out alright considering I know nothing about making my own clothes or anything.
Now I just have to get a sewing machine..

i did textiles at school a year ago and i was horrible at it. But recently i’ve had an urge to make clothes. Next year i think I’ll pick textiles as one of my subjects, so i hope i’ll get better :)
