I wanted to have this be 30 consecutive days, but on non-work days it’s too hard to get the necessary privacy – especially with Christmas coming. I’ll find a suitable routine – so far I might use the hackers’ diet ladder, but I’m going to see what else is on offer first.

zero progress. Sigh.

I think the problem is really motivation. I just don’t want it as badly as I used to. And all those bad habits are creeping right back. I used to be able to say no to things. What’s up with that?

I’ve been thinking about when I can truthfully say “I’ve done this.” I’ve already improved it somewhat, but enough to mark it done? What I think I might do is create some ‘sub’ goals – learn all the state capitals of the states (I’m good for Canada), all the countries of africa, asia and south america, that sort of thing. Then when I can mark all those off, I’ll mark this one off.
