I would love to take advantage of the great outdoors more often than I seemingly have time for. For the first time this year, I was able to take a weekend off and devote myself completely to my own well being in the company of great friends and nature, by completing a 13 mile canoe trip down the Shenandoah river. There are few words that can properly describe the aesthetic appeal of nature, though how much longer her unspoiled beauty may last is a question posed by many, yet determined by all. I hope that one day everyone will share a universal respect for the world that we live in and its’ People and to do as much as possible to reduce the footprints that we leave behind.

I often attend local adoption events for animals in need of homes and everytime there is a gauruntee that many of these four-legged friends will find a place in my heart. I wish I could care for all of them. It pains me to see so many precious animals in need of a warm bed and a loving friend, when there are breeding mills, only concerned in producing the “best, most purebred pets.” To many, there is still the notion of “why fix it, when you can buy a new one?”
After visiting an adoption event at PetSmart, made possible by HART (Homeless Animal Rescue Team), I fell for two female cats, Abby and Candy. Great personalities and absolute cuddlebugs, though, my current living quarters and income would not allow for a cat, let alone two. I would not be able to offer as much time and care for them as I would like, and would prefer for another priveleged family/individual to experience their affection.
One of these days though, I will finally provide a home to one of these sweet felines. :]
So, I’m finally serious about knocking out some of these items on my to-do list. I’m taking the first steps to obtaining a passport by printing the necessary forms for an Application for US Passport and filling them out. All I have left to do is to gather proof of US Residency documents and any other needed information and mosey on down to the Passport Acceptance Facility. If I accomplish this “thing,” it’ll be a start to something great!
