Save Three Grand this Summer
I've worked only six days... 1 year ago

and have made nearly $400 in hourly wages plus tips. And the season has not even begun yet.. so once it gets busy I’m sure my savings will grow even faster. My goal is to use all of the hourly wages (which I recieve in bi-weekly paychecks) to pay for my utilities, groceries, and other living expenes. The tips I am saving up in a big jar and am just going to let them grow all summer. I think $3000 is a pretty big goal considering I will want to be buying lots of clothes, booze, and other stuff. Plus my puppy is getting expensive with every Vet visit, and she’ll need to be spayed sometime this summer. Let the savings begin!

move to arizona (read all 5 entries…)
Ok it's time to check yourself. 1 year ago

Sorry that you are so damn closed minded to appreciate the influx of people moving to Arizona.. but what makes you so great to think that just because you were born there, you are the only one who deserves to be there? Maybe if you don’t enjoy living in such a large metropolitan, you should move to a smaller town, or out of the state completely. Arizona is a beautiful state, and I have been there several times now. And if I, or anyone else with aspirations and goals feels like moving there to better themselves or their lives, they should do it. Any place worth moving to is obviously going to have many drawing points, so if you live there you already know that. And it shouldn’t suprise you that so many people want to be there.

Speaking to the rising cost of homes, etc. It’s called cost and demand, and a little lesson in economics and inflation would do you just fine. I obviously don’t know you, but perhaps you don’t work in an industry in which you get pay increases that correlate with inflation quite like other jobs, like low skill, low education jobs. Sorry for you if that’s the case. Obviously you don’t own your own home, either, because if you did, then the rising cost of homes would make you HAPPY, because you would be building equity in it.

So, quick frankly I think you are rude, not only for posting that, but for sending me a personal message saying Missouri is where I belong. You also sound VERY uneducated. You don’t know me, or where I belong, so please mind your own business in telling me not to move to Arizona. It’s people like you that make me want to move there even more because when someone tries to discourage me, it gives me more determination.Apr 25, 01:02PM PDT | Edit | Delete | Respond to this

Go on a cruise in the Caribbean
Yes, it's worth it, but.. 1 year ago

I got seasick practically every day, which really really puts a damper on things. But the places we went (Aruba, Curacao, St. Thomas, St. Maartin) were fantastic. We went on Royal Carribbean’s Adventure of the Seas, which is a great ship. Food was awesome, and lots of it. I should have gotten some seasickness meds beforehand because I had a feeling that would happen. I did enjoy the vacay, but if given the choice, I would rather park it on one beach for a week.
