i was first intrigued by mention of this in 2001. that’s SEVEN YEARS of having this kick around in my head. during those years i’ve mentioned it here at least twice- at this point it’s probably safe to say that i won’t regret it.
the date i talked about in my last post has come and gone (but only by a couple of weeks) so this is a definite go. the only thing i’m waiting on is funding and for the right person to tag along with me.

my last exam is on august 20th. i’m not at all prepared, and think it could easily go quite poorly.
in other news, i compared my current gpa with last august’s and noticed it had increased by about 0.6. not bad, and definitely qualifies as “better”, but i’m still going to wait until after this last exam to check this goal off.
new goal will be to raise it by about 0.5 by this time next year. i want a “fresh start” for this year knowing that my grades improved, i got into my 1st choice program, and this will help with something else i’m looking into.

to reading become an xcoder, i finished my first test app-thingy a few weeks ago. for the interested, details and download link are “here”http://miniondesign.com/solo, and i wrote a little more about it here.
the syntax of the language is easy to grasp, and it’s really just C with a bunch of brackets, so i feel like i understand the basics of it. the hard part is everything else.
