I like to get caught up in what I want or what I don’t have. But, when i look at the people in my life and focus on being grateful for what is happening in the present moment, everything falls ito place.

I’m still learning to balance out careful planning with living in the moment. And that can be a hard line to draw. But those who are important in my life are helping me to worry less about what’s coming, and enjoy the now.
In my mind, the big issue is differentiating planning and preparing for the future, versus simply ‘dwelling’ on the future.
Hopefully this helps someone!

When I start living in the future, it can get so overwhelming.. but if I take a minute and focus on what I can do TODAY, and just today, things start to seem more manageable.
Someone once asked me if I know what I’m wearing tomorrow, and the answer is no. So, why do I worry about anything else, then? figure out what I’m doing today, and the rest will fall into place.

When I think too far into the future, I get too discouraged. Planning ahead helps, but not worrying ahead.

My job requires me to micro-analyze everything that will happen in a month. It’s literally my job, and I do it for an entire department of roughly fifty people.
When things get hard, it’s really difficult not to do the same thing. I have to stop spending so much time analyzing and dwelling on the bad things that exist right now, otherwise I’ll never enjoy the NOW.
If anyone has thoughts or suggestions on this, I’m always looking for input. I’ll definitely be checking back here regularly.

I want to be able to live my life by the moment. Live every moment in happiness. Live my life watching my beautiful daughter grow up and become more and more intelligent. Because tomorrow the sun will rise. Who knows what the tide may bring?

I don’t really like thinking ahead a ton. I prefer to take life as it comes to me.
