OK,so I had enough waxing treatments to get a good discount on my next service, and finally booked in for a massage… and they have now lost a customer. I felt so embarrassed for the poor girl who had done my waxing and asked me to wait for the masseuse, only to return 5 minutes later and announce that the actual masseuse was not available and she would be doing it… in a split second I decided not to cancel or rave, since I’d been waiting for the opportunity for so long. Seriously, it was no more of a back tickle than my 8 year old could do, I was really pissed by the end of it, not relaxed at all. I can now justify getting a “real” massage and paying a bit more if necessary, I will not be put off by that one useless experience. I have found a guy who gives Thai massage, I just need to book in…

I used another 2 hours of my massage subscription yesterday, and it was a blissful thing. Even the bits that hurt – where the muscles are all knotted up, and pressure sends shivers across the flesh – felt so much better afterwards.
It’s not medicinal, it’s decadent pleasure as far as I’m concerned.

My husband booked me a massage at a fantastic spa during our honeymoon in Maui. Seriously, if you are ever in Maui go to the Spa Grande at the Grand Wailea Resort. I soaked in their awesome therme baths for an hour, got a complimentary exfoliation, and had an incredible massage. I think that this might become a habit.

Foot massage yesterday

While I still haven’t had time to go for another full body massage, I did get a lovely foot massage yesterday.
I think most people would choose a neck rub over a foot rub, but then, I’m not most people… I love having my feet massaged properly.
