I used to go snow skiing every year from age 5 to 19. I also used to surf and skateboard, so snowboarding seems like it would be easy for me.
How to go snowboarding
How I did it: Well growing up I had always skied on our yearly trips to New Mexico and Colorado. This year though, my brother and I decided to go for it and try snowboarding. We had never done it because our friends told us it took at least two weeks to get the hang of it. Maybe we're just freaks but despite falling a LOT, we were going down the blues the first day. It was a bunch of fun!!! Even though I was severely sore afterwards. it was worth it. I'll be snowboarding again next year. Yeehaw!
Lessons & tips: Well, I can't skateboard worth a flip but I picked up snowboarding really quickly. It was also great having my brother learning with me. That way I wasn't the only person falling on my butt many, many times. Expect to be sore, since it takes a lot of falling to finally get the hang of it.

i am scared of falling but i went ahead and snowboarded! it was a fun experience feeling the rush. i ate snow (& mud) many times (as we went in April) but had a lot of fun. _
I’ve never been skiing or snowboarding, and I’d love to do either. It seems like a lot of fun and I can’t wait to drag my friends along to do it somewhere! If I hadn’t found this website, I probably never would have even thought about going snowboarding, simply because I never have…but I live in New Hampshire and there are so many resorts and places to go…but I usually just sled…anyway, I’m gunna do it next winter hopefully, if I can drag my friends along :)
went snowboarding in korea. fell on my head. it was fun and i would like to try this again but with an instructor so i can enjoy it more.
I went snowboarding at Winterplace in West Virginia. It was hard and a lot different then skateboarding, but I got a huge thrill. The funny thing is that I can barely stand up on my board, yet I can do tricks easily.
i went to boston and new york for spring break (after things were warming up) and i realized something that is crucial when dealing with snow:
I FUCKING HATE COLD WEATHER!
thanks but no thanks.
i’m quite happy keeping my ass hot n toasty down here in louisiana.

i thought it would be easy, especially since i can surf. WRONG! that mountain kicked my ass, seriously. but i can say it was well worth the 3 days of pain after continuously falling down the side of a mountain, simply because i have always wanted to try it. DO IT!
Had a taster-session at my local dry ski slope but the holiday I had planned with my (then) girlfriend fell through so didn’t get to go. Really want to find a ‘singles’ learn to snowboard holiday around next christmas/new year as that could be great fun, plus if it was in Canada I could combine it with seeing the Northern Lights!!!
at Geihoku resort, Yamaguchi prefecture. everything hurts right now, including my severely sunburned face but it’s worth it.
yaayyy!!!
