I did not realize that at freerice.com you can also do Spanish vocabulary. If I do this whenever I visit, I will be able to learn some new words while also helping feed hungry children and families.

I am a little confused about the word walk. I have two different words I’ve been given for it. Maybe it depends on which Spanish-speaking country you come from as to the exact phrase. And of course a lot of my Spanish is choppy and grammatically incorrect. I am trying more to get my idea across right now and then later I will make sure I get the grammar down.

I’ve been wanting to do this for years, ever since I was 12. I had two years of Spanish in high school but barely retained anything past the basics. Learning Spanish is important to me not only because I’ve always wanted to be multi-lingual but also because it’s a way of getting in touch with my Spanish heritage. No es verdad?

Really enjoying it. Conversational and repetitive and fun so it hopefully will sink in over time…

I have learned many more words! I am not even worrying about grammar at this point. I am more concerned with names of objects, feelings, and actions. I work with children whose first language is Spanish, so the more I know, the better our communication will be until they learn English. I have learned 15-20 words since September 5!

I have two Spanish CD programs that are collecting dust on my shelf. Today I am going to listen to one for at least 30 minutes.
