How to learn how to get around my city. by happywiggly

"Once I just jumped in, I figured it out pretty quickly."

How I did it: It only took me a month because I spent a lot of those days at home, not going anywhere because I had nowhere to go. A lot of it I learned in the last few days and involved figuring out how the city buses work.  Now I feel pretty confident to get where I need to go, whether by bus or car.

Lessons & tips: Don't be afraid to get lost, in reality you are just discovering a new area in your city.

Resources: My city bus system has an online trip planner that tells you transfers and everything.  It helped a lot until I could get ahold of paper schedules.

    My sister and brother-in-law-to-be got me a map of my city as my housewarming gift (yay!) so that should help with this one. I also rode my bike a bit around the apt complex, there are some nice little neighborhoods around us.

    We gotta figure out the buses before school starts though.
