donate hair to Locks of Love

Hi, My name is Alan and my mom has breast cancer and I am in need of ponytails/hair donations for my moms wig that is getting made! I would ask that if you ever intended to donate your hair to a organization such as locks of love, that you would consider doing so for my moms cause. Thank you so much for your consideration to help me with this! It will be made very soon so I will be collecting the locks of hair until February, and whatever is not used will be sent to locks of love. I am interested in donating my hair to locks of love. I am in remission as I was diagnosed with lobular breast cancer in 2003. Finished chemo and radiation 2004. Will these medical procedures hurt my request to donate my hair for a child that needs a wig?

My hair is now 10 inches long and I have been growing it since I went bald!

I cut it all off! 12 inches. I’m not sure if I like it but everyone is saying it’s super cute. I’m sure when it takes me 5 minuets to dry it in the morning I’m going to love it. Now all I have to do is send it in.

My name is Sarah and I am 12 years old. I had my hair long for a couple years but once in a while I had a little trim. Then I wanted a hair cut that would take off 8” but the hair dresser told me about locks of love, but she said if I was going to donate my hair I would need 10”cut off, so I told her I wanted to donate my hair. So I told her I didn’t mind having 10”cut off. Now It is easer to brush my hair.

I could donate 10 inches right now, but I would have to cut my hair up to my chin, and I really don’t want to cut it that short. So I’m going to grow it out 2-3 more inches before I donate it. Hopefully, by January or February, I can make a donation!

Hello, I am 21 and I have been growing out my hair for 3 years. I cut my hair when I found out I was pregnant w/ my 1st son: 07-03-05 (One day after I turned 18) I have been pregnant 2 times since then and my grows 2 times as fast when I am pregnant, I guess it’s because my hormone levels are through the ROOF!! LoL And now that my hair is down past my butt and when I don’t have my hair up, I sit on my hair when I want to sit on a chair. :/ I have 3 boys and they never leave my hair alone, it’s like they know I am tender headed! This is something I have been wanting to do for a while, my husband will hate me for it because he has always loved my long hair, but I cannot be selfish anymore, especially because I can’t take care of it like I should!.. I think that anybody that battles a life threatening experience and does not want to be bald should have the choices like everybody else. :)

Its so gross. I have to keep telling myself that I cant cut it because its not really mine….but it is getting everywhere..

I had an eleven inch pony tail cut off today, I’m so very very excited! I absolutely love my short hair, and I can’t wait to send out the donation. I dyed my hair red too, I shall have to change my userpic. YAY!

I’ve been growing it out for three years, currently my fiance just measured it at eleven inches, so I’m going prolly within the next week to get it cut. Looking forward to short hair again. And I’m excited to do this, I’ve been wanting to for years.
