...dealing with the incoming at the moment…mainly because I’m on maternity leave but I still have a huge backlog to deal with…I’m talking boxes, files, piles, drawers, stacks…a lot!
I’m really in a sorting and tidying mood so I’m aiming to get this done before Christmas…might even start tomorrow!

Screw paperwork. Anyone who can’t send you shit electronically should rot and die. Anyway, I finally got this done after much prodding from my wife, but it’s over with. Once in a while it’ll pile up, but not for more than a few weeks.

I’ve done what I could for visa, citizenship and tax paperwork. All I can do now is wait. And send official letters every now and then, because they have to enter any paper thingies they get in their document management system, so they treat paper inquiries more seriously than phone calls or personal visits. :P
After those 3 things are settled, I have to work on credit card papers, sign a power of attorney form and deal with my driving license.
All my doctor stuff is worked out. I use my birthday as a reminder to set up regular checkup appointments.

Still waiting. Bloody government is taking its own sweet time, while they give me a 15-day deadline for everything. I have so many paperwork-related open loops it’s incredible. My dear public administration workers, don’t you know that open loops are a major stressor for me? I’m losing sleep, overeating, not working out properly, and it’s all your fault!

You deal with one thing, two more pop up. So….
- tax paperwork: ask at work, send formal complaint, cross fingers and wait
- visa/citizenship: still waiting for reply
- the other doctor: phone next week to set up appt – edit: done, as I had to go in for an emergency!
- credit card: ask VZ, make the calculations, decide already :P … and then wait for visa/c.
- work permit: have time till mid May
- savings/power of attorney: wait for visa/c., then ask MZ, set up a date, go to bank
- driving license: not an issue at this time, will wait for visa/c.
Basically, a lot of waiting going on.

One year later and my kitchen is STILL overun with paperwork. I really need to get into some sort of routine. If I dealt with things promptly that would help too.

I am a Virgo, after all…
- visa/citizenship: waiting for translations some time this week, then posting the whole lot
- doctor: Mum’s mentioned this on her own last weekend, it must be a sign! ask MS for recommendations, call MZ’s contact
- credit card: research JJ’s bank vs. my bank; two accounts a problem?
- savings/power of attorney: ask MZ, set up a date, go to bank
- work permit: have time till mid May
- driving license: not an issue at this time, will wait for visa/citizenship
