Save money

Ok, before I’m going to the US I want to save in those 2 months $1000 or more.
Got a 60days challange in “Save $1000” thing. Will achieve it.

okay, so i’ve been doing really good with this lately, and i’ve saved more in the last month than i have all summer. it realized its waaay easier to save money when you can watch in build, in cash. im a waitress, so i bring home cash every day after work, and i put it in my safe. i only keep about twenty bucks on me at all times, and the rest stays together in my room. to watch that stack build… its way more satisfying than watching numbers in my bank account get bigger. its physical. i can touch it. and when i get a decent amount, i’ll go put a good chunk of it in the bank, and start the collection again.

i still have been getting things, though. some big purchases i made this summer were a new photo printer scanner and copier, a graphic tablet, and stupid stuff like clothes and shit. i’ve tried to do things like go to platos for my jeans, and buy stuff on sale, so that helps.

i have yet to part with some things too. i’m finally goin to put my stupid old guitar on ebay, along with my ex-photo printer (which is still in perfect shape, i just needed a scanner, and it was on sale, and it is epson instead of canon). i also have an N64, an XBOX, games, psp movies, and cds that i want to get rid of too. and i’m going to go through my clothes and bring a bunch of stuff to platos.

Got a mass tax return YEOW. Hasnt come in the mail yet but as soon as that baby come im chucking STRAIGHT in SAVINGS YEOW.

Second to that…big news. My auntie has offered me 2 grand! Wow, wow, wow. Was fully hestistant cuz i have never been given that much money but she has insisted and i couldnt be more stoked.

That will get me half way to my goal MORE than half way!

Cant believe im doing this well but im so commited! I havnt been depressed about money for ages cuz ive finally got my act together!

I have finally become debt-free, so all the money I was putting into credit card bills will go straight into savings. What is great about a savings account is that it is like a ball rolling down a snow covered hill. You start with a little bit but interest keeps building onto it. I hope that I’ll be able to save quite a bit, and also keep my spending low.

I just got a job that starts on Monday. It comes with health insurance and a 401K, which is great. It pays less than I would like (28K a year) but is still awesome. I need a weekend job to pay off my debts. The last few months of not working have really taken a toll. I owe my boyfriend about $900 and I still have to pay off my credit cards ($1500 for both of them). It’s less than some people owe, but it’s an awful lot for me to pay off. Once I have gotten to zero, I want to start actually saving money so I can travel.

I’ve got until Febuary to save £750 and i have no idea how im going to do it!! Any money making tips??

Today I paid the whole balance off my credit card! YAY ME! Now the real saving can start.
