Kt
is on a mission to tidy her room and cross it off the list
I’m working on tidying my room at the moment, just getting everything put in the right place. Then I’m going to go through each section of my room and throw away anything I don’t need, tidy each section up and CLEAN. My mirrors and windows could do with a wipe down and my TV screen hasn’t been dusted in forever.
After I get rid of absolutely everything I don’t need I’m vowing to keep my room tidy for good. It’ll be easy once I’ve sorted it all out and got a few extra draws for storage space.

This is so hard!
I need to clean my room AGAIN!
I have a huge pile of dishes here, the table is all messed
up and there’s another pile of clothes. And some stuff are
lying on the floor.
I don’t know how other people manage to do it!
They must have some crazy disorder where they must have everything
clean or they’ll get some kind of a heart attack… :/

When I moved into my new flat, once I’d unpacked everything, of course, my room was spotless. This ‘honeymoon period’ lasted for probably about the first month, which I thought was a good effort! And, like most things, all it took was one day that I wasn’t able (read: couldn’t be bothered…) to fold my washing and put it away, for my room to turn back into a bomb site! It helped that we had a flat inspection, and so EVERYTHING had to be tidied up, but that was a few weeks ago, and now its back to that messy state again.
I think my plan will be to clean things up on a Sunday arvo/night before I go to bed, so that when I wake up on a Monday morning its all nice and neat for the week, and if it gets messy again, then I can tidy it up again the next weekend.
Worth a try…

To make the horrifying mess in my room seem less daunting, I’ve divided the room into 6 zones. For example, zone 1 is bedside table (nail polish, creams, cds) /desk (misc, old photos, letters, things sentimental – including a useless rock with a face penciled on!) zone 2 is on my bed (books, notebooks, dvds that I currently all use – an organized mess I sleep with night after night) and under it (test papers from years ago, hundreds of photocopied articles I may never use and old notebooks that have escaped the trash time and time again). I have a lot of stuff in here and I’m not a neat person so, keeping a clean room will require serious dedication!! I’ve done zone 1 over the weekend. Tomorrow will be zone 3, I think. I can’t even see my beanbag under all the clothes I’ve tossed on it..
When my room gets too messy, I spend as little time in it as possible – which is how I know when it’s time for a major cleaning operation. I’m blind to mess until it gets out of hand!!!

My room is still quite clean!
The floor could use some washing up, but all the surfaces are
item-free :)
And i’ve managed to keep all my clothes in the closet.

I cleaned my room!
It’s really clean IMO, but it still feels the same.
Even my mom told me it looks clean, but still…
It looks the same to me :/
Well…Now comes the hard part – keeping it clean ;)

I just finished cleaning up my sock drawer and the closet!
Before I had all the shelves filled with all kinds of crap, but
now I have 4 completely empty ones! I just need to find some stuff
I could put there ‘cause it’s driving me crazy :D
Tomorrow I’m gonna sort out all my clothes and throw out all
the ones I can and maybe try to sell some of them :P

Oh my room is horrible. To longest that I’ve been able to keep
it clean is maybe 2 days. And by the and of the 2nd day it looks
exactly like it looked before i cleaned it.
I’ve always dreamed of a clean room. I’m so sick of all those
dust-bunnies everywhere. This weekend I’m gonna try to improve.
I’m gonna get myself together and clean it ALL!
All the drawers and that huge closet and the tops of all the surfaces and also wash all those dirty dishes on the floor.
It can’t be that hard – Everyone else is doing it!

Can the messy have withdrawels?
I don’t mean like pain, shaking, tweaking, more like the opposite, like something is missing, like your body is trying to revert back to where you were a “messy person”!! Do they have pills for this?!
(coming back down to earth) For the past two days I have been slipping, (coming home and just falling asleep with out picking up here and there) and that really catches up to a person.
Well plan B is too pick up in the mornings before leaving off to classes, while i’m still awake and functioning, lol now this one has to wake up earlier in the morning to do a better job.
I’ll update next sunday. good luck!!
