keep my apartment clean

I hate to admit it, but I’m trying to follow an adapted version of the Flylady program. I have got to maintain better so I don’t have to work as hard when someone’s coming over.

And go wash the dishes instead of watching this stupid movie…

so my apt. is looking pretty good…I cleaned up before going out of town this weekend and my hubby is helping me keep it picked up, I figure I’ll mark this one off at the end of the week if it still looks as good

I’ll admit it: I’m a slob. Always have been. My biggest problem is something I like to call the drop-and-go. If I have something that needs to be put away, I instead drop it exactly where I am and go. It’s a problem. I’m not dirty—no uneaten food lying around, I’m just messy. And it’s gotta stop. I’m a nuisance to live with.

saturday it was looking good but by sunday it was messy again…i’ll pick it up tonight and put away the laundry my DH did and then i’ll be able to stay on track

figure if I can keep it tidy over the next two weeks i’ll check this one off :)

I’ve come up with a schedule where I do 30 minutes of house-cleaning everyday. Mondays – living room, Tuesdays – kitchen, Wednesdays – bathroom, Thursdays – bathroom/laundry, Fridays – organization (for those things I always mean to get to).

It’s starting slow, but I have faith.

i have one month left in this apartment, and instead of keeping it a dump i’d really like to try and keep it clean . that way when it is time to move out i don’t spend most of my time cleaning up so i can get my deposit back, and so i can pack instead.

my apartment overall is clean, except for my bedroom and that is mainly because i don’t put away laundry and my bed never gets made since i sleep during the day and my DH sleeps at night, but this monday is going to be laundry day so i’ll make sure to put every last piece away

It’s all about habit, I guess. Sometimes I think if I had a bigger place it would be easier to clean—and sometimes I think it would just be a bigger mess!
