read more of the books I own, now, before I buy any more!

I have a whole bookshelf full of books, half unread. I can’t keep myself from buying more books. I really should read the ones I’ve got before buying more. LOL. I’ll try!

What’s the point of re-reading Harry Potter for the zillionth time when I have a whole shelf of books I haven’t touched? I like how this can go under both “self fulfillment” and “save money”.

This was actually your idea and what a wonderful idea it is. I know some people that would never have to buy a book again if they committed themselves to the ideal of finishing what they have before searching for more… It reminds me of something my father used to say, “If you use what you have got, you won’t need what you have not.” Of course my father would be president of the world if he followed all of his own advice!

I have so many books and yet I have become more of a collector and much less than the avid reader I used to be. Fortunately this is one of the simpler tasks to complete, as all I have to do is walk over to a shelf and make a selection… Perhaps, oh I don’t know… The Federalist Papers by Hamilton, Madison and Jay!!!

I can’t decide to start this new project with Invisible Man or the African Queen.
