I love buying them. I love having them. I love organizing them. i love staring at them longinly in hopes that having them near me will make me a great artist.

Lizaodt believing and is not afraid to be made whole
Now I won’t forget what I saw.
I love anything to do with Art: looking at Art, discussing Art, sharing with others, making Artwork (especially using materials and day-to-day objects in a new purpose) as well as collecting some Art. By the way, you can see my collection under Yrogerg on www.artacadabra.com , a really cool site for art collectors (small or large collectors, or known artists or not) and art lovers.

I am pretty good at expressing myself anyway. This is just another outlet to do it and create something at the same time. This is going to be an ongoing thing. Sometimes you just have to get all the arts supplies out and flood your kithcen table with them. Inpiration can come from so many places…my life, my phiosphy, a quote, a picture… it is endless and there are endless possibilities. I am an artist!

I am starting to journal more regularly. It is mostly a peaceful undertaking. if I am realy involved in making a peice of art work i am thinking less about the negative things going on in my wretched life.
gabby loves her new kitty Starla Ruby!
Well, I finally did it. I put together a book to be used as my art journal, and I completed the first entry!

Labor Day. Not really the most exciting holiday. No money. Hotter then hell outside. Seen everything on TV. Not in the mood to read the latest novel I picked up. Hmmm should I drag out the art supplies??
Yes. I did and i spend most of the day just sitting and creating things from my imagination. A great side effect of creativity I found today is that when i am focosed on creating that image, that text, that work of art I dont have the inclination to think about anything else. It relaxes me. it calms my mind. Art journaling satisfies me.
LanaJay is most likely losing her mind.
Not that any of you have done such a thing. I just wanted to make it clear. I really don’t like scrapbooks much. With all of the stickers and stencils and colorful paper with attractive designs printed on it and what not. Two words: Time Consuming.
Now that that is off my chest (and believe me, I feel better), let’s get back to the picture above.
It looks as though I have a lot of ‘stuff’ to put into my book. The good thing about it though is that all of these items have a story behind them or they came from someone who is very dear to me.
For example:
*The ticket stub from my flight I took to AZ to visit my boyfriend for my birthday last year.
*The hilarious cartoon Valentines Day card he made me last year.
*A note from my mom.
*A card from a co-worker
*Post Cards from Gallery Hop
