How to clean my room

 "Spent a few hours dumping out everything from my drawers, organizing, and throwing out what I no longer needed for a cleaner room."
How I did it: I'm a messy person, but I've always thought of myself as an organized kind of messy. Sure it may have looked like a tornado specifically targeted my room to the untrained eye, but I knew exactly where everything was. However, it got really bad at one point. I could no longer see the floor and it was difficult to sleep in my bed because I had thrown things on there as well. Lessons & tips:

Ha! I was going to do it today, but I decided to clean the kitchen, and after getting carried away with it, many hours had soon enough passed and I didn’t finish until 11pm. It’s soon time for bed! Too late to clean now xD But the kitchen does indeed look very clean and pretty now :D

best parts about moving to a different room in the house..it’s bigger and it’s more private
worst part..having to go through all this crap in my current room
wonder how long this’ll take….21 years worth of junk stored up :( and it’s not even like before when i could just stuff it in drawers, since as soon as it is all clean..i will be moving to the new room…but the rule with my parents was this room had to be perfectly clean before that one could be moved into. ah. which is cool, cause it’s not like i have 4 massive papers and finals to study for or anything.

ok, so my room is really messy. I’ve tried and tried to clean it, but it always just gets worse. This weekend however I have more time and I hope to get as much as I can done. I want to:
1. Clean off the floor
2. Wash and hang up all the clothing
3. Clean out the drawers
4. Change the sheets
5. Winterize my room
I want to get this done this weekend

If all my closes where put away and clean, that’s make a huge difference on the cleanliness of my room. But there is so much of it, and just sorta wanting a clean room doesn’t seem to be enough of a motivator.

Mom's visiting again

It’s good that Mom’s visiting – always a good excuse to clean house! Not that she cares so much – as long as we aren’t filthy, she’s more interested in visiting us than in inspecting the house – still, it’s good to clean up a bit before Mom visits.
Also, we don’t have much money this year, but I know my husband really likes it when the place is organized and clean looking, so I will work on this as a sort of present for him, too.
So, I’m on vacation this week, so this is a good time to make some inroads.
