I got married almost two years ago and had a beautiful wedding, but to save money I hired a photographer to just send me all the unedited digitals. Since I’m a graphic designer, I thought it would be a piece of cake to edit them myself and then have them printed… I was very very wrong! He sent me back over 1,000 pictures and I just haven’t had the time. It’s to the point that I think my in-laws and grandparents are mad at me.
I just finished my degree and quit my crappy 50hrs/week job, so I’m officially going to force myself to finish it!

I found time to get to CVS while their photo shop was open, so I got the photo for the front cover of the album. As soon as I got home, I cut it to the right size and put it in.
Finally, I finished the photo album, almost exactly 15 months after the actual wedding. Next time I’m only making one ;-)
I finally decided that I had already printed too many pictures (more than I could fit into the album) so a few days ago I sat down and decided which ones to include. Then I put the rest in an extra little album I got for free when I bought the groomsmen’s gifts. (It has our names & date engraved on the front, but it’s not a high-quality album). There’s still a little room left for bridal shower pictures, if I ever get any printed.
Now all I have left to do is put a photo in the pocket on the front of the main album. I could have sworn I had a few extra around the house somewhere, but I can’t find them. So, I just need to go to one of those photo-printing kiosks at a drug store, and I’ll be done. I plan to do this tonight.
I just sat down in front of the TV last night and finished the first half of the album. Now I have to go through the rest of the photos and decide if I need to get any more printed, and possibly buy more pages for the book. I will be SO glad when this is done. I had fun with the first two copies but now it is just starting to become a hassle.
Well, I got a few pages done a few nights ago while watching a movie. I haven’t worked on it since then, because I forgot about it! I guess that’s why I’m writing all my goals on 43things.com, so I can remember to work on them!
I’ll try to work on my album some more tomorrow (no time today.)
...I’ve just got to sit down and do it.
I’ve already made two copies of the wedding album for both sides of the family, so I already know the layout and everything. Of course, with those I was motivated to do it in a certain amount of time so I could get it to them when I visited (they live across the country and I don’t get to visit very often). For myself, there’s no such motivation. I already have the album and the pictures, so I guess I just need to sit down in front of the TV tonight and start pasting in the photos. Later I will need to have some of the more obscure photos printed.
