I’ll go with a writer is someone who writes, so I’ve committed myself to writing each day.
How to become a writer
How I did it: I've always loved to write & read intriguing stories.. I don't need a degree or profession to tell me that I'm a writer. I know that already. I am my own writer, I have my own persona. I am simply me. Going to school has definately helped me a lot with using bigger words & becoming a better writer...
Lessons & tips: Read more & write as much as you can! Don't give up.

I would love to become a writer. I was the best writer in my class. I could write a story straight from my head to the paper I’m writing on. I love to write things. In my writing class, my friend always asks me to help her write a paper. But the secret of writing a great story, is to make the people reading the story feel like their actually there. I love to write. So that is why I want to become a writer. I use bigger words to describe things and never gave up.

I want to start writing through journaling first. Then I want to write short stories. Then possibly begin on a book based on my life..
If I could travel, take pictures, document my life and what I see, and let my imagination be discovered everywhere, I would be happy. Of course everyone is pushing me about school and how I will not make a living without proper education, but I try to blockout everything they say. I do well in school yes, but that is not my main priority. I concentrate on writing more than anything else. It’s what frees me from my frustration and allows me to express myself without being judge. I don’t have to show my writing to anyone, not even tell them about it, just as long as I myself know what I am doing right. I don’t care how long it takes, how much money I make, if I become famous or not, if people love what I write or are completely against it, I will make it. Nothing will stop me. I want to write continuously for hours on end.

I’ve been getting some amazing opportunities to write in the Summer hols. I spent a month writing travel guides, hotel descriptions, and some holiday articles for Great Hotels of the World (www.ghotw.com) which was amazing. I also got in touch with the writer of the ‘Lush Times’ for the cosmetics shop Lush and she offered to give me a place on her writing course which was brilliant. I learnt so much! Now I’m writing product descriptions for the Christmas issue of the paper and I’m really excited to see what else is in store!!
I want to write for a living. More specifically ads, blogs, and online articles.
