I don’t know why but I’ve always smiled at complete strangers, or at least say hi to them or something. I’m a somewhat shy person but for some reason this just doesn’t bother me. There are a lot of people who actually do smile back! It’s true though, males do get the wrong idea almost every single time…but still worth doing! Even if they don’t smile back, at least you know you did your part.
lappynet has been learning lots of cool stuff about iPhone development at home.
I’ve been doing this lots, and I’m amazed at how few people smile back! Most people look scared, as though I’m about to ask them for something or attack them! Still, I’m making the effort, and for those that smile back, thank you very much! :D
No offense about the title. But I said hi to some guy a few days ago, and he replied with a “Thats what I’m talking about, baby.” So he was talking about exchanging pleasantries? I guess I’ll keep it to a smile :)
Tigerman is being silently killed
Sometimes I even said “hello” or “good day”. But only when there aren’t too many of them.
Smiling at strangers whilst walking is a second nature to me. I do this habitually and very rarely is it reciprocated, unfortunately. And sometimes, males get the wrong idea…
If my smile brightens up at least one person’s day, then it would all be worth it.
Javiera is :)
This one is one of my favourites, and people oftenly respond with a smile back :)
I just do it now and it’s always hard for me to see that other people are as shy as I was when I smile at them. I just want to hug them and say ‘Hey, I don’t bite. I just wanna be friendly!’ Why do we always think that other people want something bad? Perhaps they are just as shy and friendly as we are?!
