Be courageous as often as possible 1 week ago

Courage is not the absence of fear, but moving forward despite fear or doubt~Rollo May.

I belive that as I am more courageous it releases me to be more motivated and to achieve my goals. I have learned to be courageous from being afraid myself.

I know that when I am anxious about doing something I know I need to do than I need to call on courage and act.

Just go for what I want! 1 week ago

I wish I would do this all of the time. A lot of times I hold back and I let this doubtful voice inside my head take over. It happens most often when I am wanting to be creative and express my ideas. I second guess my creativity and the ideas deep in my heart. The only thing I feel I am courageous about is my athletic goals and my relationship goals. I need to work on being courageous in my creative goals and my job goals.

I have an appointment on Tuesday afternoon I am VERY nervous about. It’s going to take a lot to be able to not cancel it and take a nap that afternoon. I know it’s for the betterment of my life’s happiness. I don’t want to de anxious and depressed forever. It has to end.

I have great fears of riding shotgun or in the back seat (basically not driving anywhere/everywhere) is terrifying to me. Sadly, it is exponentially worsened when family members are involved in either the destination or passenger list.

I don’t know what to do to get over this phobia.
I know facing it would make it better. I’m just too fearful.
Anyone have advice?? Where’s Don Quixote when you need him?

Biography worth reading? 3 months ago

I want to find a good biography of Joan of Arc. I realized the other day that she is probably the bravest person in history.

I recently found this quote 7 months ago

‘Fear is a habit; so is self-pity, defeat, anxiety, despair, hopelessness and resignation. You can eliminate all of these negative habits with two simple resolves: I can! and I will!’
I’m finding that to overcome fear means a change of attitude. If I approach a situation with a defeatist attitude of ‘I can’t do that’ then I fail, usually because I don’t even try. But if I approach it with the two resolves from the quote, then at least I give myself the chance to suceed, and even if I don’t succeed I feel good about myself for trying.

Being courageous means 11 months ago

living my life in spite of my fears, and I have a lot of fears. Fear of disapproval, critisism, anger, looking silly, being hurt, rejection, regrets, making mistakes. It’s enough to make me want to hide away and hibernate! But I’m finding that very often the things I worry about happening – don’t, and my fears are often just in my head. So I want to take more risks, be courageous as often as possible and not let my fears hold me back any longer.

I ran up to a bunch of senior boys in school and joined their game of hacky sack and then i managed to get a picture with them for the yearbook. I didn’t know who any of them were, but we managed to all laugh! It felt great!

Went ice skating on friday for the first time ever, fell over once, but towards the end i was properly doing it after hours spent clinging onto the sides for dear life. Enjoyed it so much i’m taking
my sister there in half term.
