How I did it: I started working on my portfolio for college in a special class at school- having that time set aside MADE me draw, and it resulted in me thinking about art in general more. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I took 2 art classes in school this year; Drawing, and Art Portfolio, which is a little bit of everything. I am so happy, and I am having the time of my life. I have learned so much, and I look forward to the rest of the year. Read how I did it…
lauraunfortunately is happy (:
How I did it: I enrolled on an art course. The degree I want to do asks that you complete this course & I needed a change in direction anyway, as well as a year to prepare for University. So I enrolled and am loving it so far :) Read how I did it…

I love drawing but I’m not so great at it on paper. I use openCanvas on my laptop to draw an colour, although I occasionally draw on paper and then scan in to colour on the computer. I love doing it and at the moment I’m in the middle of drawing a picture for my best mate, and hoping she’s going to love it.
W00t broken laptop is NOT broken. XD I just dug it out and tried it, the thing’s working fine so I can get back to drawing a colouring now. I already have a list of other people’s line art that I want to fill in and I can’t wait.
warmjets no new tale to tell....
I went back to school and got a degree in architecture. Getting the degree was great – I drew a lot, every day. But since graduating and working in a field dominated by computer graphics I’ve lost that rite of drawing daily. Thing is, it’s not that hard. And I’m not that bad, I guess. I just need to do it.

A friend recommended me the art lessons she’s been taking for her portfolio assignment since I’m probably applying to the same places as her. So I agreed and went this weekend. The first lesson wasn’t much but I’ll try it again next week. It’s not my technique that I’m worried about, it’s whether I can bring myself to draw at all. Hopefully, I’ll get down to business soon! .__.

I’ve started reading the “Drawing Manual” by Glen Vilppu, and have been busy doing gesture drawings. It’s the first chapter in the book, and I think I’m almost ready to start with the second chapter. But, well, I’m not in a hurry :p

About a week ago I bought another sketch pad and some shading pencils. I’m going to try by the end of the weekend to draw atleast one really good drawing.
