Have fun while building a superb company!

We’re moving office next week and any day now I sould receive confirmation of our new company registration. We’re changing name and company form (from sole trader to the Swedish equivalent of a Ltd company). This will help us to create a much clearer company profile and present to clients what we actually do (web development) instead of what we were doing (health based web services). The original company will live on, but the focus is on the area we are best at and making money from.

Hopefully this new step will be a shot in the arm for us and will help us to expand. A major block for us has been recruitment as there are so few ASP.NET developers in Göteborg. Having a more focused company profile and smarter offices should help us in that respect and as we will be sitting in the area where all the big IT companies have their offices we should be more attractive to new recruits.

Still going strong almost three years in.

The original vision of our company was to combine my interest in training and healthy living with my background in web development an build tools to inspire people to live a healthier lifestyle. We have a couple of products up and running, but during the last 2 years we have lived almost 100% on the other side of our business which is web development.

So now I’m going to focus our company’s vision. I’m starting a new Ltd company with a new name and image which will be easier to communicate to both our clients and to potential new employees. We’re moving offices to a more modern office near the other IT companies. The original company and our lifestyle products will be kept running, but it will not be our main focus. All in all I’m hoping that the change in focus will allow us to concentrate on what we do best and bring in new clients.

I have been in business for myself since I could remember. And my dad use to say years ago, “Never stop trying, If you try and fail, try again because life is what you make of it”

So, I feel without a doubt that I have found a business I enjoy and one that I am committed to building for the long haul. Simple and easy. I am looking to someday in the next 3 years establish franchises in 5 top major markets in the U.S.

Its a service business that most people needs and uses daily. I have found my business niche in life after many trials. Now into my 3rd year of not having to get a job to subsidize my income – Strickly business income!

Today we launched the small store at the mall. We were just rearranging everything when this woman came and started to buy things. We were really happy cause we sold about US$60.00, and the store isn’t even open yet. Is not much but it may be an indication that we are going o do good there. We are hoping to franchise this little stores if all goes well.

I want to find someone in the states that can distribute our products.

I have been striving for my dream for six years now. To build a company that can be stable, that sells great products and that can give me the freedom to enjoy life. I feel like the dream sometimes makes me forget the little accomplishments in between..I achieve something but it’s not enough because the idea I have in my head is much bigger. Realizing this has opened my eyes to enjoy each step…if I don’t I will be successful and don’t even know it.

Walmart Central America picked up our new line NEA. We are so happy. This is going to help us have a more stable income and new market completely.

One of the most important things this year for my company is to open our own lab. Have been outsourcing this part, but are now ready to design, develop and manufacture our own formulas and products. It is going to be very hard but I will have lots of fun trying new formulas, and products and seeing the end results, on salons. We are now launching two new lines: Men and Oriental Spa. Hope all goes well.

My company has been running for 9 months now. It has been a lot of fun, but it will be even more fun when we have developed our product enough to start making enough money that we’re not feeling hunted from month to month. Fortunately we have plans for it to be both a fun and superb company – so things will fall into place sooner or later.
