Buy a House

i would love to own my own house but i have really bad credit and i can;t deside on a place i would want to life for the rest of my life. so it might take a while.

I bought my first home in 2001.

I just realized today that I am achieving what has been my number one dream for at least the last five years. I am just now beginning to truly believe that it is happening and that I might have the keys next week. I am slightly afraid about the increase in my monthly expenses and the responsibility but I am so excited. Now I need a new number one goal and dream!

So we’ve qualified for a loan and have been working with our real estate agent! Yayyy!!! Will hold off on looking for our house until Beginning of October when I am back from vacation. I can’t wait!!!

This goal will be on my list for a LOOOOOOONG time. We’re in an apartment now. We’d like to move a step up, but we’re not ready for our own home yet. I’d like to upgrade to renting a duplex next.

My husband and I bought a house in Dec 07. It was a mess! But it was a great deal at $11,500. We have spent about $6,000 fixing it. It’s wonderful to not have to pay rent! We are hoping to resale our house in about 2 years when he graduates from college. We are hoping to make five to 15 thousand on it since it is now “ready to move in.”

Step one… get my boyfriend to do his taxes so we can get pre-approved. I have been on him for a year now, and he still won’t do them. I’m not sure if he thinks that if he ignores it the IRS will too? Thankfully he is on a payroll now so all we have to worry about is the back owed taxes. Our furkids need a fenced yard and I don’t want to live at his parents house forever.

Yes, pre-approved and still looking! We are first time home buyers and surprisingly still very excited! Hopefully the right one will come along soon.

only 2K left and we’ll have $25,000 – more than I’ve ever had in the bank – and when I save even more it will be more than I’ve ever had in consumer debt from a decade ago. I’m so glad I figured out how to live a life where there is not consumer debt AT ALL! What a liberating feeling. What joy I find in that….. Anyway, the quest to buy a home is on – I have drafted the “dream home” list to the Realtor, need the DH’s approval and we can send it on to her so she can start showing us some homes.

It’s been some time, but I’ve finally found another house I’m interested in. I’ll be taking another look at it Monday and whipping up the offer :)
