dealing... 5 days ago

with this shoulder pain in the F@rG!n @rse ! business. You NEED to schedule that appointment – I won’t name any names, but you know who you are. not to be all negative but I am feeling pretty shitty about the ww thing right now – not just because I haven’t gotten anywhere with it but because I disappeared on my team members again. I suxkses. also after this massage the other day the MT explained to me very clearly WHY I needed to drink approx. 220 ounces of water in the next 24 hours and what did I do? I drank about 50 ounces. Now I can’t get the image or feeling of all my lymph nodes absolutely choked on toxic body sludge right now and my head is KEELING MEEE! OK< enough negativity – I just really needed to express all of this.

The quest continues 7 months ago

Restarted ww with the new year. Just recently rejoined my challenge group. Lurked for awhile but finally made my presence known and asked if I could come back in and of course they said yes. I am so glad I did too. I really love this group of women. They are the smartest, funniest – just the best. So it’s taken me 6 weeks with everything that’s been going on to really ramp back up – to update the binder, to relearn the basic habits of drinking water (actually, still not doing great on that), eating breakfast, lean cuisines for lunch, etc. and am starting to really COUNT POINTS. what a concept. But I am seeing some initial results. I think if I lost 20 lbs. I might just believe I’m losing weight. Under 10 still feels like it could come or go overnight. But 20 – something is happening. Anyway, I’m recommitted. Last time I lasted 12 weeks. It’s not like I quit – I just faded away. Am really trying to make this part of my daily routine…

The joy of veggies... 7 months ago

Every morning I plan on adding different veggies to my eggs. Today: Diced Poblano Peppers and Tomatoes. Was a big hit with my love. Definately on it’s way to becoming a family favorite. Tomorrow…Diced red onion and sun-dried tomatoes.

30 is the new 20! 7 months ago

My love and I are going to get back to the basics! Time to start living healthier for our bodies and our minds. My love is looking at another job, a better job with better hours. We are also going to try and cut back smoking cigarettes. I don’t really drink and haven’t done drugs in almost 2 years now. I am going to start cooking a lot more with veggies and heart healthy foods. Keeping my fingers crossed.

this is the start of everything. 8 months ago

here’s hoping!

Eat, sleep, breathe... 9 months ago

Healthier! Eat more veggies, drink more water (again, that water theme is big in 2008), work out more (I used to do it, why can’t I still run 3 miles 4 days a week??), sleep more, drink less (beer!!) and watch less TV (That should be among the 43 things, however, Tivo wins on this one).

Tae Bo and Eating 11 months ago

Yeah I know- Tae Bo was that cheesy 90’s trend. It is also a pretty decent workout, and cheaper than the gym. Sara and I both have been eating healthier this week, and it’s only been a few days, but I honestly can already tell the difference in my alertness and emotional wellbeing- I just feel BETTER. And I have lost 6 lbs (we got a new scale) since when I went to the doctor roughly a month ago, and that should keep progressing since we’re eating more protein, less crap. I have been doing a little quickie DDR on my lunch as well, before picking up my food and going back to work- it’s better than sitting in front of the computer and slouching, and I feel more energized when I get back. And I’ve been doing morning yoga as well, to stretch out my back and stuff. So far, this is great. And I can still have a glass of red wine in the evening:) Hooray!

~Much Love
