Some things I need to do or would like to do to accomplish this goal are:
clear out “stuff” that i threw on desk in new office during a fast
clean-up, but definitely does not go there.
put air vent cover back on.
move “stuff” from my old desk to my new desk.
move files to new file cabinet.
set up shelves in bookshelf.
move all books from old worn out bookshelf to new bookshelf.
move computer and organize “THE CORDS.”
move shredder.
set up personal items to make space more pleasant.
hang a picture for once!
eventually get a rug or two for the wooden floor.
decide if I want to put my shell collection or my crafty stuff in the new office.
figure out what else I need to do to finish organizing the office.
do it.

Tearing out and beginning to organize pages I wanted to keep and threw out the gutted remainders.
Weight machine still hanging around, but I’ve been working on organizing my teacher stuff.
Got the pile of papers/pictures/etc beside the desk filed or purged. Next major step is to take down the weight machine that is only being used to hold junk.

Well I have got it all set up. It will be an ongoing challenge to keep everything in its place.
Establishing one’s rhythm must occur before organizing. Because to be organized, you absolutely MUST, MUST declutter! Purge EVERYthing that is not essential to your work space (any space!). This liberates the space to fulfill its intended purpose. (And, it allows one to simplify …)
Being organized is not about rigid placement and a place for everything as much as it is about finding one’s rhythm and tuning out all else. AND, it is a process; certainly it is a process.
Give yourself a break … Journey in the direction of organization; but don’t forget to make the rest stops along the way to purge yourself of the waste and unnecessary weight of 1) screaming “should do’s,” 2) the “I will get to that someday” and 3) the “but I have to because (fill in the blank)”
Remember … It is a process. And it is not about perfection. It is about getting there. :-)
Sheila working on PodCampAZ stuff!
I have really seen a difference in my productivity since I cleaned and organized my office. I have a great space now. It has not even been that hard to keep it clean.
