volunteer more often

I took me a while to find an organization I liked, but I eventually found the Organization for Bat Conservation! Once I started working there I fell in love with the work. It feels good to give my time to people that need and appreciate it. It’s good for the soul (and your resume! lol). Do it!

got to do more of this… not sure how, as I’m living in a country where i can’t speak the language and don’t know most of the issues. still, i used to do some of this back home and not lending a hand is starting to leave a hole in my life…

Offer time to help at the red cross, and/or big brothers, big sisters

Thinking about volunteering for the local Humane Society or the Tulsa SPCA.

It’s our duty to give back to those who are less fortunate….Together we can make a difference :). I love how my Job at the Home Depot allows me to do this….every month we have volunteer events to help the less fortunate . This month it’s at Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto.

I have been volunteering at the dog pound (Humane society) in town on Saturdays. It is very rewarding. The only downside is getting attached to the dogs then having them taken away. That is good for them though. I walk them and give them lots of love. I feel good everytime I come home from it and it is good exercise too. I want to volunteer at some more places like a battered woman’s shelter or a soup kitchen. Will see what happens with that…

I’ve been letting the time I spend physically volunteering in the departments slip away. I want to get back in the game, so to speak. It’s only 4 hours a month. How did that become so hard to do? It shouldn’t be, and I’m going to make it a point to get back in there.

AHHH! I want to do this, now I just moved into an apt, so my weekends are spent getting acclimated and decorating…ahhhhH!

I used to volunteer at an assisted living for years when I was in high school and then when I moved to the city for college I did the occasional soup kitchen. But lately I have been working more hours and been more tired on my days off I havent had time. This is definitly something I need to work on
