meet new people

and it made me feel that there are loads of interesting people we not yet get to know. I just want to do this more and more

Had a nice conversation with someone about an intersting sport. It was a fun conversation and I hope to follow it up in the future. :)

I want to find really fun people – but I want GOOD people.. not like ‘holy saints’ or ‘good do-ers’ but like.. Just people who mean what they say. people I can trust. Friends I can trust who wont go away, or betray me, wont get mixed up with bad things. I know im tolerable to some degree and Im trustworthy. So if I could just find someone as moral and honest as me, then that would be perfect – im know im an original but it would be nice to find someone like me. Hopefully? one day? i can wait.

A group of artists had an open house yesterday and I spoke with several artists and other visitors. It was fun.

In October I met new people:
1. through my boyfriend (very handy, eh?)
2. in art class (I joined one last week)
3. in a folk music concert
4. through a friend, when we went out for sushi

It happened without realizing, but for once I’m hitting it off with two colleagues who are married and are actually living across the street from me. It finally feels good to talk about random and work-related things, while sipping wine or having a warm cuppa tea. It’s so refreshing!

I like my friends but need to branch out a bit. I met new people in Sept and in Oct but am having trouble thinking of something/some event for November. There is a hike with people who I might like talking to but what if I don’t – it would be a six hour hike – they are probably friendly but I am not sure that I am ready to lock myself into that. I am ISO ideas. :)

I’m around new people all the time but I just cant seem to make attachments. Maybe its because I’m getting older but that shouldnt be an excuse.

I think I have an answer to this. I work at a one-lawyer law office, so its me and one other girl in the office! Most of the time I meet new people through work so working at such a small company is sorta odd. I plan to work there 1-2 years and then change jobs and work for the Court! Meeting new people will help me to accomplish my other goals so I hope to do this very soon!

I’ve recently graduated from HS and though it wasn’t the worst time of my life I definitely didn’t enjoy it. I wasn’t to fond of the people. I have a couple of great friends who stuck with me through everything that happened in my life, but those amazing people are really ALL I’ve got.

I had so many friends and during my SR. a problem accorded with my ‘group’ of friends and somehow, though I had nothing to do with it, me and my absolute best friend were sort of shunned. And I can honestly say I’m glad it happened, those ppl, those girls, weren’t true friends anyways.

So now it’s me and a handful of wonderful people. But still I’d absolutely love to meet new people, new friends, have new relationships. I’m extremely shy and in this crappy city I live in there really aren’t many places to meet people.

Anyone willing to suggest places to meet ppl, I’m totally willing to listen :)

This is definitely one goal I plan to achieve soon.
