In a year...  — 54 minutes ago

Yup. The whole thing in a year! That’s my goal :D

I’m a theology student so I’ve already studied Genesis in depth, quite a bit here and there in the OT. As for NT, I’ve only read a psalm or two and a tiny bit of Matthew.

I’m actually looking forward to this though…I wonder if the people who have done it have felt they’ve gained from completing this goal??

You Can Do It  — 19 hours ago

Worth doing!

Reading the Bible from cover to cover is so worth it. What an accomplishment! Just get through the dry parts by reminding yourself that it’s all part of the story – do a little bit every day! Then when someone talks about something in the Bible, it will trigger a bit of pride and you can say ” I read that :)”

I not only want to read the bible, I want to also explore other religious texts and beleifs, because if I’m going to devote my whole soul to something, well then shouldn’t I atleast know the options? I don’t really think I’m the kind of person who could just beleive in one religion, because I think each different religion has it’s good points and bad points. I don’t know. I’m young and naive, and I just want to figure out what I beleive in. I know I believe in God. I can’t help but beleive in God, but I want to read the bible and figure out exactly how I interpret it, because I know from the little that I have read, that I don’t see it the same way some other people see it.
