To the person below, I’d say the best thing to do about worrying is to take action over the thing that’s causing you to worry. I hate my new job but its only a maternity gig therefore I am just counting down till christmas when I leave. That stops me worrying. As for getting a new job that doesnt worry me cause I will do sessional work if I get nothing permanent.
Find solutions and ways of working around problems which present themselves. If your worried about something take action which will prevent the thing you are worrying about from having any significant impact.
We are human beings though and we have no control on many things that can happen therefore it is natural to worry. Although it does us no good and we should aim to curb how much we do so.

Worrying comes natural to me :) I worry about everything- from money, to how I look, how people feel towards me, how I am perceived, my future, my health, my family, my friends, the world, life…...

I need to learn to trust myself, that I am a good person and I am doing the best I can. And it doesn’t help stressing about things. “Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery and now is a gift!! That’s why they call it present!”

Perhaps meditation would help.

Last night, Pastor Todd Jaussen preached at our church.
His message was absolutely amazing, and came at just the right time.
Here are some of the notes I took, summed up:
Matthew 6:8-13;25-34
Worry-
Our needs are much more simple than our wants.
1 Timothy 6:6- Godliness with contentment is great gain.”
Do not trust in uncertain riches.
Trust in the Living God. Everything may be gone tomorrow, except God, God will remain always.
Some of us are “hard-wired” to worry, and when we dont worry, we are worried because there is nothing to worry about.
God says,
“I’m God, so dont worry. I’m God, I know everything I feed every bird, I clothe every flower, Im there wherever you are, I’m God, I’m everywhere. Dont worry. I love you, dont worry. I control the future, everything will work out, so dont worry.”
Worry is a sin.
God will give you grace and help.

- Use techniques such as progressive muscle relaxation and deep breathing which help achieve calmness and take your mind off those worries. Also exercise increases brain chemicals which make you more relaxed. Make regular exercise a part of your life to increase overall feelings of calmness and well-being.
- Distract yourself. If your thinking gets stuck in a loop of repetitive negative worries, divert your attention immediately away from those thoughts. Tell yourself STOP while snapping a rubber band against your wrist or imagining a large stop sign. Then replace that negative thought by repeating to yourself something positive and true.
- Realistically ascertain the facts. Make sure you are not exaggerating things by worrying. Think about and write out specific worries and possible solutions during a designated problem-solving time. Then leave your list and come back to it another day. Some worries have a way of working themselves out in your absence.
- Do something. Anything. Stop that worry in its tracks by taking action. And stop uncertainty by making a decision. Your decision doesn’t have to be the perfect one. Any decision is better than none and takes away the pressure of not knowing what to do. Take a deep breath and just do it. Face that fear and overcome it.

LanaJay
is most likely losing her mind.
I feel I have every right to be worried, or stressed; whichever applies. Let me list you my expenses to come:
-Plane ticket over X-mas
-X-mas gifts
-Tuition for spring
-Books
-Car Insurance
...and I have no money as it is :-P
If anyone has advice as far as how to get ultra cheap tickets, what some great home-made gifts are, where to get cheap texts books, or how to get rich over night, please let me know. Much appreciated.
