going during thanksgiving. i am so excited. i really really want to go. i love it there. i want to live there. i want to own a flat and wake up in the morning with the sunshine streaming through my window so i can see the dust particles float slowly and sparkle over my round bed. i want to get up every morning and walk out of my apartment and be surrounded by all the noise and commotion of new york. To come home from an exotic market and cook something unconventional in a small but convenient kitchen. To hear the taxis on the street and be seconds away from the cutest stores. A floating bubble fireplace that hangs from the middle of the living room. A hardwood floor with a low but modern leather couch. To feel empty but full; for the rooms to be cozy but not over crowded. A huge window that forms one of my walls so i can see the passing crowds. Lights that turn on slightly to create a sensual but real atmosphere. To sit at a mini table in front of my big window, close my eyes, and eat a dinner that melts ever so slowly in my mouth every bite. For a painting full of bright different colors to fill my mouth until i can sense every inch of my skin and body. To open my eyes and see the lights decorating the small and leafless trees. To see the snowflakes whirling from the white clouds in the sky. To by sashimi and feel powerless as i sit and stare at the cars passing by my window. then to top it off with a white chocolate bar that sets off fire crackers in my mouth. To go out on weekdays and weekends to the hottest clubs with my girlfriends and sometimes guy friends. To eat blueberry pie when i am depressed and warm my feet at my black hanging bubble fireplace. To wake up in the morning and be happy about who i am. to stretch, smile, brush my teeth, get dressed, eat cereal for breakfast, and leave with my purse. To walk to work and be greeted by many of my coworkers and know and remember all their names. To have a closet that is almost the size of a regular room that lights up from the back making it look like a display collection at a store. to have a part of my closet only for my shoes. Daisies falling aimlessly across each other in a crystal vaseā¦
I’ve been wanting to do this for such a long time, I just don’t know if it’ll ever happen. Matthew might not like it there, it might be too cold during winter, my mom might change her mind, what about my job?, I can’t move Christopher all around the country, the cost of living is astronomical there! But, on the bright side of things, it’s gorgeous there and I would NEVER need a car.
This isn’t necessarily a goal, just a dream. :]
was so much fun to visit! I was there for awhile on vacation and it fascinated me. Portland is a small city, and very green. I do like it that way, but to live in a big city, like New York, would be amazing for a short while. I’d live in a cute apartment and run through the park every morning, buy coffee at a local shop every morning and read books in a very cozy book shop owned locally of course. The traffic and the people would be an experience but an enriching experience to say the least. I want to live life on my own before I have a family and am not able to do what I want when I want
ProphetPX is at home, full from dinner, finally from GOOD food this time! ;-)
I lived in upstate New York state (near the capital, Albany) for almost 6 years from 2002 to 2007. and I NEVER EVEN ONCE got a chance to see the Atlantic Ocean. NOR did I ever get to see New York City (even though I was only 2-3 hours north of NYC the whole time … freakin lousy friends thought i would never be able to make it walking around so much with my legs’ disability … sighs)
How SAD is that ????
But at least I did live in a rather backwater town (albeit poor) that had nice waterfalls in it! Check out this news article (in the article might even be 1 of the pics i snapped of the waterfalls before i moved out of there! :-)

(the 4th picture down, with the woman holding the money, was an advertisement for a Casino. This billboard was barely 1 mile from my house and I saw it all the time! :-)
Hell, our Cohoes NY Police Department even caught someone sorta famous once, Mobb Deep’s Prodigy:

(MTV News)
... not much else to see in that poor ol’ town though lol
heyashash is going to work
I went there for the first time when i was 15 and absolutley loved it! After visiting NY its been a goal of mine to move there after Nursng school.
I love the city and can deal with the traffic, i live in Southern Cali and deal with LA traffic a lot, pretty used to it…
it has always been my dream to live there. New york looks like a place where you could be whoever you want. Everybody goes there for everything i believe people make it or break over there but the people who make it and the people we know.
I’ve lived in buffalo,NY all my life and it is terrible. Do not move here. I’m going to move out as soon as i can. Can’t say much about new york city though only visited once, It seemed good.
