learn to speak spanish fluently

Behind in this, so I spent all day yesterday catching up. Still behind but much closer.

Most of my family can speak Spanish, except for some of my siblings, so I want to learn how to speak Spanish because it’s very useful. I have Rosetta Stone, and I did some of it, but my headphones broke, and I really need to start doing it more frequently. I’ve just been putting it off for too long.

Really doing alright with this. There is a discussion room for the internet course I’m taking. Lots of vocab. I should be studying now but it’s Saturday so I’m about to go out.

Anybody want to practice with me? (Quiere practicar con me?) I am only a beginner, maybe somebody else needs a practice partner who is taking a class like I am. Gracias. Buenes noches!

Learnt Spanish to GCSE level but that was 11 years ago :( Knew the basics but could never speak it fluently. Need a refresher course to start with. Think this is such a beautiful language :)

Recently bought another set of cd’s to practice with. The last ones were very intense and came with very thick workbooks. I used them to prepare for my trip to South America. The latest I purchased were impossible to pass up. Cost me about $6.

It’s hard to find time to practice. In order to practice, I:

watch movies with Spanish subtitles
read children’s stories
read magazines like People and Discover
find penpals online
read my Bible

took Spanish in undergrad. Have tried to stay with it in some form for the past 20 years. I love it! But I’m not fluent.

the other day i talked to a taxi driver for 20+ minutes entirely in spanish. not fantastic spanish, but spanish nonetheless.

this is a big deal for me since my biggest obstacle is being too shy to practice.
