I worked on my core yesterday and I’m really feeling that workout. I lifted upper body muscles as well. I didn’t think that my core was weak but a few exercises quickly showed that I’m out of shape. I’m going to work core muscles during every lifting session from now on.

Well, I got pretty lucky and my boss is paying for employee memberships at a local gym and I’m going at least 4-5 times a week. I started last week and I am NOT going to stop :) I’m determined :)

Apparently lack of sleep can make you fat. >.< When you have less sleep you become hungry. So thats not good because I sleep very little.

I used to make a living hiking, so needless to say I was in decent shape. Then I stopped doing that. And started eating out a lot, with my new (then) boyfriend who lived in Pasadena… we spent last year traveling around and I hardly exercised at all. My fault. Hubby tells me to go hiking, ride my bike, get out… but I’m lazy!! I love being active, but the motivation to START can be so hard.

I’m about 50 pounds overweight now. I don’t recognize myself.

I joined Curves, and now I’m paying a monthly fee NOT to go…

My husband, who is disabled, is getting a hand cycle, and I hope to bike with him. I live in a hiking Mecca and hope to do more hiking in the beautiful eastern Sierra and White Mountains. I have a friend who I was walking with this spring, but it’s too hot now – back to weekly walks this fall, I hope. And, yes, I hope to go back to Curves and start the circuit again. Soon. Very soon.

Since I’ve gotta start somewhere, I have chosen this goal. I’m not fat at all, actually quite slim. But being in shape isn’t only about the form of your body, I’m struggling with cellulite. So how to get rid of it? I go to the gym 3 times a week, but wanna make it 4 times. Saturday, tuesday, wednesday, friday. I’ve gotta start with a healthy diet, avoid coffee and alcohol and embrace lots of water. Less sugar and salt, more fruit & vegetables.
